Raytheon Secures $529 Million Contract for Patriot System Components
The Netherlands has officially awarded Raytheon a substantial contract worth $529 million for the supply of parts associated with the Patriot air defense system. This move aims to replenish the Patriot equipment previously donated by the Netherlands to Ukraine, highlighting the ongoing support for the nation’s defense amidst regional tensions.
This contract encompasses a comprehensive package, including a Patriot fire unit that features essential components such as radar systems, launchers, command and control stations, along with various support equipment. The manufacturing processes will take place in facilities located in Andover, Massachusetts, and Huntsville, Alabama, with anticipated delivery set for 2029.
