Iran Enhances Air Defense Capabilities with Bavar-373
Iran has recently introduced an upgraded version of its Bavar-373 air defense missile system during the “Eqtedar” military drills held in Isfahan, a city located in the central part of the country. This modernization includes a state-of-the-art integrated radar system that allows the Bavar-373 to independently track and engage aerial targets, thereby enhancing its operational effectiveness.
During these military exercises, the upgraded Bavar-373 successfully intercepted and destroyed a simulated enemy aircraft in the Kavir desert. This operation was notable as it was conducted alongside the Russian-made S-300 air defense system, showcasing a coordinated approach that reportedly improves the ability of Iranian forces to defend against high-altitude threats.
