Lithuania to Become a Hub for CV90 Assembly

Lithuania is set to take a significant role in the manufacturing process of Sweden’s CV90 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), with an estimated 30 percent of the total assembly happening within its borders. This announcement was made during a recent interview with Lithuanian Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas, who emphasized the integration of local enterprises into the broader supply chain for the CV90.

In a collaborative effort among Northern European and Baltic nations, approximately 1,000 CV90s are being procured, with Lithuania expected to receive around 100 units. This move not only strengthens Lithuania’s manufacturing capabilities but also fosters regional cooperation in defense procurement.
