Czech Republic Chooses Exail for Artillery Navigation Systems
The Czech Republic has officially partnered with Exail to enhance its artillery capabilities by equipping its command and reconnaissance vehicles with the Advans Series Inertial Navigation Systems (INS). This crucial move is set to ensure precise positioning and operational reliability for the Czech military in various field environments.
Exail’s cutting-edge navigation systems employ advanced fiber-optic gyroscopes that deliver accurate positioning and orientation, even in scenarios where Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals may be compromised due to jamming or unavailability.
Military Endorsement of Advans Series INS
According to the military-technical institute of the Czech Republic’s Ministry of Defense, the Advans Series INS addresses their requirement for a highly reliable and precise navigational system. This will empower Czech forces to conduct operations effectively, even under the most demanding conditions.
Notably, these systems are designed to withstand spoofing and jamming threats, bolstering dependable navigation during critical command and reconnaissance missions.
Exail’s Growing Presence in Land Defense
Jean-Baptiste Fruchart, Regional Sales Manager at Exail, remarked that this new contract further cements Exail’s stature in the domain of land defense navigation. The company has recently achieved significant successes in various regions, including Northern Europe, Spain, France, and the UK.
This strategic partnership not only enhances the Czech Republic’s military capabilities but also strengthens Exail’s footprint in the growing field of defense technology.
Versatile Applications of Advans Series INS
The Advans Series INS has already established its presence in over 20 land defense forces. The systems are designed to support a range of military applications, including combat vehicles, optronic turrets, radars, and air defense systems.
Notably, the system features a plug-and-play design that uses open protocols, facilitating seamless integration and on-site installation by military personnel, which significantly boosts operational readiness.
Tailored Platforms for Diverse Operational Needs
The Advans Series encompasses three distinct platforms, each catering to various operational requirements. The Advans Ursa is an economic option tailored for tactical vehicles, while the Advans Lyra provides mid-range precision for navigation and targeting.
For more demanding missions, Advans Vega emerges as a high-performance INS suited for long-range operations, enabling extended deployments and intricate operational scenarios. Both the Lyra and Vega models are equipped to ensure rapid target acquisition, swift system initialization, and real-time data processing for advanced weapon systems.
