Strategic Partnerships and Production Plans
The launch of the Ferox follows a strategic partnership between EM&E Group and Abu Dhabi’s EDGE Group, which has facilitated the production of the vehicle in Spain. This collaboration marks a significant development in the defense sector, bringing together expertise from both companies to enhance the vehicle’s capabilities.
The Ferox builds on the design of EDGE’s Jais 6×6 Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected Armored Personnel Carrier, measuring 7 meters (23 feet) in length and weighing 27,000 kilograms (59,525 pounds). It is designed to accommodate up to 11 personnel, providing a robust solution for various operational needs.
Impressive Performance Specifications
Under the hood, the Ferox is equipped with a powerful 600-horsepower engine, allowing it to achieve a top speed of 100 kilometers (62 miles) per hour. Additionally, it boasts an impressive operational range of 700 kilometers (435 miles), making it a reliable transport option for military units.
For added versatility, users can customize the vehicle with a remote-controlled station that includes electro-optical sensors and a mounted machine gun, thereby enhancing its combat effectiveness and operational adaptability.
