Advancements in the IRIS-T Air-to-Air Missile Program
German defense manufacturer Diehl Defence has been chosen once again to spearhead a multinational initiative aimed at enhancing the IRIS-T air-to-air missile. This follows the successful development of the missile’s initial version, where Diehl collaborated with partners from Spain, Italy, Greece, Sweden, and Norway. The new Block II contract signifies a commitment to upgrade the missile’s capabilities, pushing beyond its original air-to-air functionality.
