Revolutionizing Drone Warfare: A New Era of Logistics Drones Enhanced with Advanced Weapon Systems
Israeli companies SMARTSHOOTER and HevenDrones have forged a strategic alliance aimed at transforming logistics drones by equipping them with state-of-the-art robotic weaponry. This collaboration will see the integration of SMARTSHOOTER’s advanced SMASH Dragon weapon system into HevenDrones’ H100 and Urban drone platforms. With this enhancement, these unmanned aerial systems (UAS) will be capable of executing combat missions targeting both ground and aerial threats, reinforcing Israel’s leadership in military technology innovation.
HevenDrones CEO Bentzion Levinson emphasized the growing importance of counter-drone technology in modern warfare, stating, “As drone conflicts escalate, we know that counter-drone technology will prove critical to the evolving needs of the armed forces.” By incorporating SMARTSHOOTER’s sophisticated fire control systems into their drones, the partnership aims to meet the increasing demand for advanced, remotely-controlled warfare capabilities.
The H100 and Urban Drones: Designed for Efficiency and Versatility
The H100 and Urban drones have been engineered to address urgent resupply missions, boasting impressive payload capacities of 30 kilograms (66 pounds) and 10 kilograms (22 pounds), respectively. The H100 is designed for durability, offering a flight endurance of 55 minutes and achieving speeds of up to 16 meters (52 feet) per second. In contrast, the Urban drone, while slightly lighter in payload, can remain airborne for 37 minutes and reach speeds of 20 meters (65 feet) per second, making both platforms exceptionally suited for a variety of logistical challenges.
These drones are not only built for transport but are also being fortified with the capability to engage in combat. This dual functionality means that they can support military operations not just in logistics but also in combat scenarios, showcasing a significant advancement in the operational versatility of unmanned systems.
