Italy Expands Armored Vehicle Fleet
Italy’s Ministry of Defence has signed a significant contract with the Iveco-Oto Melara Consortium (CIO) to enhance its military capabilities. This deal will see the delivery of 76 Medium Armored Combat Vehicles (VBM) tailored for the army’s operational needs. Among the vehicles included in the contract are 60 combat variants and 16 anti-tank carrier variants, specifically designed for the Second Medium Brigade. Additionally, the agreement incorporates integrated logistics support and an unspecified quantity of 10×10 rescue and recovery vehicles, which will bolster the VBM fleet’s overall effectiveness.
