First NH90 Helicopters Delivered to Spanish Navy
Airbus Helicopters has successfully delivered the first two NH90 Tactical Transport Helicopters (MSPT) to the Spanish Navy. This marks a significant milestone as these helicopters are the initial units of a larger order consisting of seven aircraft, which is all part of the broader second phase of Spain’s NH90 program, slated to include a total of 23 helicopters.
These state-of-the-art rotorcraft are specifically designed for amphibious tactical operations. The MSPT variant is equipped with reinforced landing gear, advanced naval communication and navigation systems, and features that allow for the automatic folding of both its main rotor and tail.
