North Korea MLRS Transfer to Russia: Military Camouflage

North Korea’s Covert Military Aid to Russia

In a surprising turn of events, North Korea has allegedly transferred 122mm Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) to Russia, cleverly disguising them as civilian trucks to evade detection. A video that has surfaced on social media shows a suspicious vehicle stationed in the Kursk region of Russia, an area recently engulfed in intense fighting following Ukraine’s unexpected invasion in August 2024.

This particular truck has caught the eye of military analysts due to its striking resemblance to a military asset that was showcased during North Korea’s 75th anniversary celebrations in September 2023. Notably, both the MLRS observed in Russia and those in North Korea are equipped with 12 tube launchers, which become operational when the truck’s roof opens. However, the key differentiator lies in the inscriptions, which vary between the two versions, raising questions about the true nature of the vehicle.
