Russia Takes Control of Berezivka
On Saturday, the Russian army announced its latest territorial gain in Ukraine, declaring control over the village of Berezivka in the eastern Donetsk region. This strategic location is situated alongside a key roadway that connects important towns in the area, marking a significant step in Moscow’s gradual expansion of its influence in the region.
The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the capture of Berezivka, which lies close to the road linking the vital mining hub of Pokrovsk to another significant town, Kostiantynivka. This move appears to be part of a broader strategy to isolate Pokrovsk and cut off Ukrainian supply lines.
