Turkey’s Major Export Deal with Indonesia
In a significant development for its defense sector, Turkey has finalized an agreement to export 48 fighter jets to Indonesia, as announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday. Erdogan expressed his enthusiasm for the agreement on social media platform X, stating, “As part of the agreement signed with our friendly and brotherly country, Indonesia, 48 Kaan (fighter jets) will be produced in Turkey and exported to Indonesia.” This marks a crucial step in enhancing defense cooperation between the two nations.
Details of the Agreement
The contract, valued at a whopping $10 billion, outlines the production and delivery timeline for the Kaan fighter jets, which is set to unfold over the next decade. The Kaan Fighter Jet
